I can't believe that they have the Audacity to offer this for free!

Some of the best things in life (and tech) are free. If you are looking for a very capable audio editor but if you have a bit of a cash flow problem at the moment check out the free, legal, and open source audio editor Audacity at audacity.sourceforge.net

I create podcasts with it and it is great for a host of needs such as digitizing vinyl records, etc. Audacity is multi-platform and available for Windows, Mac or Linux.

For the uninitiated, LaPorte is one of the foremost tech journalists in the world and had been gainfully employed at TechTV, MSNBC, and other mainstream outlets. He has struck out on his own and produces about a dozen regularly scheduled podcast series. It is free and a great resource for us geeks...stick it in your ear!

What a neat thing! For politics junkies out there, this is a great way to see where you stand on the upcoming presidential election.

It is the Presidential Candidate Calculator -- it includes a short survey on your beliefs and then based on the results it ranks the current crop of Presidential Candidates based on your answers...

I won't tell you who I came up with, but it wasn't who I expected!
